About It's All About You Wellbeing

Welcome to It’s All About You Wellbeing CIC, a resource for the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans+, queer and questioning) communities of SW England, their families and friends and for the therapy and wellbeing practitioners working with them. We recognise that anyone experiencing emotional or physical difficulties wants to be sure that they can fully trust any professional that they turn to for support. This is likely to be particularly true for anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+. We may be concerned that we won’t be met with acceptance by professionals, that we may not feel entirely comfortable talking about our lives, or that professionals may inappropriately link our sexual orientation, gender identity or relationship style to our difficulties. It’s All About You Wellbeing ('IAAYW') exists to enable LGBTQ+ people, their families and friends to make contact with the right professional for them and to access courses and groups that meet their needs. IAAYW also provides training and support to counsellors, psychotherapists and other wellbeing practitioners to enable them to provide the best services they can to LGBTQ+ people.
