About Italian Competence Center for Social Innovation (ICCSI)
The Italian Competence Center for Social Innovation (ICCSI), established in parallel with similar national centers promoted throughout the European Union, is part of the EU Commission's actions for social innovation. The Center is a bridge between public policies and innovative social practices. It promotes social innovation and the adoption of a systemic, multidisciplinary, and collaborative approach in the design of impact-oriented public policies and services. It works to improve government capacity on these issues, dialogue, and complementarity between public and private actors to address complex social challenges. The center was founded and is coordinated by Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, University of Bologna, Euricse, and Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini.
