About Ithaca Srl
We are an innovative SME, located in Torino (Italy) and specialized in designing, engineering and providing value-added services, based on Earth Observation data and also integrated with additional datasets in order to support different end-customers (public administration, utilities, private companies and R&D centres) in various application domains: from natural disaster emergency, agriculture, forestry to climate, environment, transportation, cultural heritage and more. We have strong competences in the field of acquisition, management and elaboration of geographic and cartographic data for EO based applications, delivering methodologies, analytical services and technical tools to provide operational geospatial application services. Specifically, the experience is related to: Earth Observation, Satellite-based Emergency mapping (SEM), Satellite data processing chain and management, Web-apps development. The company was set up in 2020 as a branch of the original ITHACA (Information Technology for Humanitarian Assistance, Cooperation and Action) non-profit association, created in 2007 and devoted to applied research in the field of Earth Observation in support to humanitarian emergencies and natural disasters. Now it is a fully owned subsidiary company of the non-profit Fondazione LINKS and it is part of a real supply chain in the aerospace sector: from basic research with Politecnico di Torino, through applied research managed by the LINKS Foundation to the provision of services in the field of Earth Observation. We are 25 skilled experts in the domains of remote sensing, GIS, cartography, spatial data analysis and geodatabase management.
