About ITMB Society
The IT Management for Business Society (ITMBS) is composed of talented ITMB students studying at the University of Manchester. The society functions to bring these students together as a community and empowers the students to achieve their best by funding their competition, travel, and accommodation. We organize social and sports events for society members to further build the community aspect of the BSc Information Technology Management for Business degree. The society is run by an elected committee that serves a one-year term. The committee is responsible for managing the society and all of its activities. In recent years, the committee has grown alongside the society membership to include new roles, such as a dedicated sponsorship coordinator (now Director of External Relations) and the director of ITCounts, who have had the full support of the committee and the society in their activities. The society partners with sponsors to provide students with opportunities to network with placement and graduate employers. This also allows the sponsors to run skills sessions for students to ensure they possess the right sets of skills needed, which also allows students to become more employable.
