We are a family run business - designing and handcrafting wooden products - home accessories and furniture. Mainly specialising in the use of reclaimed aged wood beams and salvaged wood, some items are designed out of aged wood from local old trees which are felled responsibly. We only work with indigenous hard woods ethically sourced, this includes durable hardwoods like oak, beach, mulberry, plum and elm. Our reclaimed wood comes from beams that were previously supporting beams of old houses in the surrounding countryside. Once we receive the wood it undergoes preventative treatment for woodworm. It is then cut and sanded by hand before being crafted into a unique piece of design. Once ready the finishing is added: To maintain the beautiful grains of the different woods, most items are coated in either a water based varnish, linseed oil or locally produced beeswax. Since each tree is unique just like us humans, each piece of wood has its own characteristics as shown in the depth of grains and knots, colour texture and composition. Therefore, it is important to appreciate the beauty of the wood as well as the aesthetic design of the item and its functionality. We really hope you find something you like.
