About IVCC (Innovative Vector Control Consortium)
IVCC is the only Product Development Partnership (PDP) dedicated to vector control. We accelerate the development and delivery of innovative vector control tools that help prevent insect-borne diseases like malaria and dengue, especially in regions where insecticide resistance threatens hard-won progress. Established in 2005 through an initial $50 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, IVCC is a registered UK charity. We work with partners in industry, academia, and the public sector to facilitate the development of new public health tools, formulations, and delivery methods. By targeting the vectors that transmit disease, we help reduce transmission and save lives. Our global access strategy ensures that new tools emerging from our R&D portfolio are not only effective, but also affordable, acceptable, and accessible in the countries that need them most. We are committed to equitable impact and to supporting country-level adoption and integration of these tools into national control programmes. Sustained success in vector control depends on managing resistance. IVCC supports the responsible deployment of new products to preserve their long-term effectiveness. Our work is made possible thanks to the support of a broad coalition of past and present funders, including the Gates Foundation, UK Aid (FCDO), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Australian Government, Unitaid, the Global Fund and USAID. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to the fight against vector-borne diseases.
