About IWannaTicket - Online Ticketing
We build technology that allows anyone to create, share, find and attend events of all kinds. Music festivals, marathons, conferences, fundraisers, gaming competitions, cultural festivals — you name it, we can tailor the ticketing. Proudly Australian owned and independent, IWannaTicket launched in 2009. It was founded by Jonathan Namey, an event organiser who was frustrated by difficult ticketing systems - and believed there had to be a better way. While studying Law at the University of Sydney, Jonathan organised regular events for thousands of people. He was often frustrated by the inflexibility of available ticketing platforms and knew that many other event organisers felt the same. After graduating and working in corporate law for several years, Jonathan's passion for events was reignited when he met Andrew Done, who ran a Sydney software consultancy called Simple Machines. Together, the lawyer and the tech whizz embarked on a journey to build the perfect ticketing platform for event organisers; one that Jonathan wished had been available when he was running events. One year later, IWannaTicket was launched. We work with clients such as Woodford Folk Festival, Wine Machine, Illuminate Adelaide, WOMAdelaide, Tasting Australia, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, Darwin Show, Royal National Canberra Show and many more, to provide tailored ticketing solutions.
