About IWP Dansk

We are a restoration and joinery contractor specialising in windows and the preservation of heritage buildings. We have worked on buildings such as; iconic London landmarks, lighthouses, churches from as far back as the 11th Century, new build facades, 1960’s buildings and many more! IWP started out in 1982 in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, as an importer of timber wood treatments and finishes from Europe – serving as the inspiration for our name ‘International Wood Protection Denmark’. During this period of expansion we became a major distributor for a Dutch timber repair systems and wood stain product manufacturer, enabling home owners to repair rather than replace. A product we still distribute and a service we still offer today! After some formative successful years we outgrew our premises in Leeds and moved to Wakefield. We became limited in 1987 and have diversified and built on our reputation since. Now with a 30 year trading history we have built a strong reputation in the construction industry and become market leaders in all aspects of our company operations. Surviving many recessions and growing in the booms we still remain a successful family run business with ethical core values, a depth of practical and technical experience and an ever adaptive mentality to providing a high quality service with repeat business. In recent years we have further expanded and grown to develop coverage in Yorkshire, London and the North East, working with clients of all types, from main contractors, councils, universities, home owners and heritage trusts.
