About IXA - Innovation Exchange Amsterdam
IXA is the knowledge transfer office that supports Amsterdam researchers convert their invention, idea or research finding into a viable, practical application. IXA is the alliance formed by the Amsterdam Knowledge Transfer Offices of Amsterdam UMC, HvA, UvA & VU. By facilitating the interaction between researchers and external parties, IXA drives the transition of scientific based discoveries and results into innovations and insights that benefit society in a multitude of ways. A process called valorisation. IXA assists researchers with collaborating and negotiations with companies and organisations, drafting agreements and patent applications, protecting IP, developing business proposals, market research, applying for research grants and drafting Consortium Agreements. All over: identifying the best valorisation strategy for research based concepts, inventions, technologies coming from Amsterdam researchers.
