THE DESIGNER She’s never been home. Not for the winter and especially not for any of her birthdays. It is the vast reaches of this planet that has drawn Vancouver based creative entrepreneur Izabela Domachowski to discover new homes, new ideas and all the very different kinds of love. Her impassioned plea to live every ounce of life by the second has caused her to live a nomadic liberty and independence that she wanted every woman to feel when they wore a piece of her jewelry. The distinct trademark of the designs in this debut collection represents an uncompromising elegance in its handcrafted simplicity. So simple and contemporary that it allows us to be the dreamers, darers and discoverers that we were meant to be. But with all the places she’s ever been, the inspiration of the design never fully came from what was out there. It was the deep blue, the apex reaches of the evergreen and the star reaching mountains of the west coast that she realized was the original muse for Iza Jewelry. Every time she came back home, there was an opportunity to sit with long, deep breathes and allow everything she just experienced to become a part of her. What you see in Izabela’s debut collection is home and away. It’s what makes us our better selves. Iza Jewelry doesn’t aspire to change the world, but it does seek to help pioneer a new aesthetic encouraging dreamers who one day will.
