About J-Berd Companies J-Berd began in 1992 as a Twin Cities based design-build contractor for plumbing and heating. Founders Curt Johnson and Dave Berdan were passionate about building a company that offered exceptional service and the highest level of quality. J-Berd excelled under their leadership and earned an excellent reputation throughout the Midwest. Meeting Client Needs Growth was rapid, and three years after opening our doors, J-Berd expanded and moved to a more centralized area. Now headquartered in St. Cloud, MN, we serve clients in twelve states. As the business grew, our company recognized needs their clients had due to changes in the industry. To meet this need, J-Berd added Security Fire Sprinkler in 2004. Berd Electric was also added in 2010. J-Berd continues to grow as the leading specialty contractor with our niche in multi-family developments. However, that is not all. Our portfolio now includes commercial construction and senior living campuses as well. Three Companies, One Promise.
