The founder, Joah Exley, set up the business during 1914 and began serving the needs of the local textile industry in West Yorkshire, primarily working for mill owners moving looms. Key to the success of J. Exley Ltd is the strong work ethic, problem solving and analytical skills along with the determination to succeed no matter how big a machine, how small a space or how difficult a challenge it may seem. These principals have been passed down through 4 generations of the Exley family and have allowed the business to expand into the dynamic forward thinking company we are today.
