J & R Bauer Inc was established in 2018 with the mission of making the physical and conceptual possibilities of the medium of glass available to creative minds. We are sought for our experimental approach to glass making, technical expertise, open mindedness, lateral thinking, efficiency and professionalism. We thrive in exploring uncharted territories and carrying out extraordinary visions. We are a full service production company able to work on all or selected areas of the process; ranging from concept creation to project management, consultation(s), prototyping, fabrication, packing, transportation, install and documentation. We are able to work with almost any form of custom glass processes, including glassblowing, mold blowing, hot sculpting, hot casting, slumping, carving, cutting, polishing, drilling, glueing, laminating and assembling. We have experience in putting together cross-disciplinary teams to carry out complex projects at a large scale. We primarily work out of various public and private studios in the NY area and have the ability to produce across the entire U.S. and abroad. We bring the same passion and attention to every project, whether it is an artwork, sculpture, production item, functional ware, large scale installation, lighting, restoration project or memento. We are Jason Bauer and Romina Gonzales, a bilingual (English-Spanish) married couple team, with 25+ years of combined experience.
