About Jabali International
WELCOME Jabali International is a non profit US 501 (C)3 charity dedicated to preventing Pediatric HIV infection, and the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. Programs supported by Jabali International work in collaboration with the Kenyan Ministry of Health for HIV Prevention and Care and the Kenyan Ministry of Education as well as community Adolescent and Youth Programs, involving PMTCT, HIV testing, and condom education and distribution. Throughout the delivery of programs and services an integrated wholistic treatment and care approach is implemented across multiple disciplines (e.g. medical treatment, child development, health, nutrition, psychosocial support, rights and protection. Our family of supporters come from all walks of life and share one thing in common: “They envision a world in which everyone has an opportunity to lead a dignified life and improve their life circumstances”. Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS by addressing their unmeet diverse special needs, advocating and educating on their behalf, and bringing joy and fun into their lives. By blending physical, social, economic and spiritual care together Jabali helps vulnerable children, adolescents and their families transcend what is often a generational legacy of poverty. Specially-trained youth peer leaders impacted by HIV serve on the health care team to provide information, support, and assistance in navigating HIV services. The two organizational arms of Jabali International are: Sunburst Projects Kenya, and Cecilia’s Children. Both are registered Community Based Organizations in Kenya that operate renowned, high quality, and evidence-based programs.
