Jackson Museum School is a proposed K-8 school to open in August of 2026, starting with K-2 and adding a grade each year until capacity. There are only 50 museum schools in the US and 2 in TN: one in middle and one East TN. It is time we have a museum school in West Tennessee! The mission of the Jackson Museum School is to create an innovative, student-centered learning environment through inquiry-based, hands on instruction, empowering students as a adaptive thinkers and engaged problem solvers while bridging achievement gaps, developing character, and enhancing unique academic strengths through collaboration between teachers, families, and communities.
