I’ve been working for cruise liners Royal Caribbean International and Viking Ocean for the past 17 years. In March 2020, our Country went into lockdown, which meant I could not go back to the cruise liner. Since then, I have been at home with no source of income. During the month of May, I realized the seriousness of the situation, which was that I will not return to the cruise liners this year, as well as 2021 was not clear. The situation forced me to "think out of the box" and to start a small business that will generate revenue. I discussed my concern with a friend, who also worked with me at Royal Caribbean. I asked her if she was in my shoes what business would she start, keeping in mind that there need to be a demand for it now and in the future. She responded, "You know Cara, I would start a "Delivery Service business”. She explained to me her reasons, which was that she shops online, and have her items delivered to the door. Two of her regular retail outlets, since the pandemic started, then no longer delivered within 24 hours. They have changed it to 6 days, however as we went longer into the lockdown, increased it to 2-3 weeks after purchase. After our conversation, I looked at the tools I have at hand and as well at my skills that I have acquired over the years. This coupled with my love for being on the road as well as my drive for exceptional customer or client services, resulting in the startup of my Delivery Service Business. Our services includes: - Envelopes - Gift Options - Groceries - Medical supplies - Flowers _ Food pickup
