About Jake Cassell Fund for Special Needs

The mission of The Jake Cassell Fund for Special Needs, Inc. is to serve as a vehicle through which donor dollars can be targeted to established and reputable non-profits, schools and service providers who are effectively serving the special needs community in areas of extreme need, be that inner-cities, impoverished small towns or to America’s indigenous communities. Our team of volunteers work to identify best-of-class organizations that have proven themselves to be highly effective change agents in the lives of the individuals and communities they serve. We aggregate donor dollars and then run a grant process each year to vet those organizations, requiring specific targeted funding requests, measurable goals, and accountability. Our objective is to partner with a small number of organizations and to work strategically with those entities to deliver grant dollars specifically targeted to expand and enhance the breadth and effectiveness of their services. These are organizations delivering services to individuals (children and young adults) and their families who otherwise have obstacles to raising funds or receiving sufficient revenue from those whom they serve. We intend to form lasting partnerships based on those recipients being accountable to their stated commitments.
