Jamie Caplan Consulting LLC (JCC), founded in 1997, is a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and is located in Northampton, Massachusetts. JCC provides comprehensive emergency management services for all phases of disaster management, including mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. Ms. Caplan, the firm’s principal, has been working in the field of emergency management for 19 years. Effective communication is at the heart of her work, specifically joining diverse stakeholder groups for effective project completions. Mitigation planning is at the forefront of JCC’s expertise and focus. JCC has vast experience developing mitigation plans for jurisdictions such as the Territory of American Samoa and multiple Native American Tribes. JCC is currently writing Connecticut’s South Central Regional Council of Governments Multi-Jurisdiction Hazard Mitigation Plan. JCC has recently completed a risk assessment for the UMASS Amherst . JCC is working with FEMA Headquarters to assist with the development of mitigation-planning guidance documents. JCC specializes in working with diverse stakeholder groups. From 1997 – 2012, JCC worked as the primary worldwide, Hazus User Group Coordinator for FEMA. JCC owns and operates the www.usehazus.com website. JCC has written a Pandemic Flu Plan, a Disaster Preparedness Plan and conducted tabletop and functional exercises.
