About Jammal Restaurant
More than a century ago, in a secluded cove shaded by palm trees in Batroun, Jammal’s great-grandfather built a tobacco factory. By the early 1930s, that factory became the family home—where three generations grew up to the soothing sound of waves and the fresh taste of sea urchins. Being abroad for a while, Joe Jammal flew back home in 1981. As “bon vivant” himself, one day Joe put a table in the water for a fish BBQ and invited family and friends. Later this year, on June 19th, waiters, cooks, bartenders, DJs, fish, salads and mezze rocked the first beach party, and Jammal Restaurant was born. We take pride in serving the freshest wild-caught seafood, accompanied by traditional Lebanese meze plates, all sourced from Lebanon’s exceptional terroir. We believe that the richness of our local ingredients is so versatile that we also craft dishes inspired by international cuisines—whether it's Japanese sashimi, French or South American inspired seafood preparations. All complemented by carefully curated local and international wines. Perched along the serene bay of Kfarabida, we offer a choice of terraces with distinct views, sun exposures, and proximity to both the sea and the bar. Guests can choose to dine with their feet in the water or relax under the shade of our palm trees. We also welcome visitors arriving by boat, with a dedicated ferry service to bring you ashore, making each arrival a memorable part of the experience Jammal Restaurant has received notable recognition—such as being featured in Monocle magazine’s Top 50 Restaurants (2019) and Condé Nast Traveler—highlighting our ongoing dedication to quality and hospitality.
