About JamNetwork UW

JamNetwork was founded with a purpose and on certain principles. The mission of the club in its genesis and to this day is the following: - To give people of all skill levels, backgrounds and styles a space to express themselves musically. The club should always be welcoming towards beginners, and towards music of different cultures, time periods, and levels of popularity. - To connect and network musically inclined people at UW, while creating an environment where people feel comfortable playing and communicating with one another. To a lesser extent, this also applies to people or groups outside of the university who wish to get involved with the club. - To provide an opportunity for musical education. - To create music and give people an opportunity to perform and record. We believe self expression and realization is very important, and achievable, partly through music. - To accomplish all of the above while being governed through democratic decision making.
