Janner Jam named after the locals, is a specialist gourmet strawberry jam made to represent the culture and history from Plymouth, Devon and the Westcountry as a traditional local food used in the world famous 'Devonshire Cream Teas', Truly a local souvenir gift or indulgent treat for yourself to recreate your own Cream Teas at home. Available as a 'gift by post' or from a range of stockists. We use strawberries grown locally in Devon where possible, without the unnecessary use of pesticides and no added flavours, colours or preservatives. The sugar used is 'sugarbeet' grown here in UK rather than 'sugarcane' grown abroad, so you can be sure of the origin of ingredients and that the food miles are kept to a minimum. All in all therefore, this is a pretty environmentally conscious product with a low carbon footprint, and wildlife friendly too! Made in small batches by hand 'ere in Devon! ('Janner Jam' also aims to hold an annual event by the same name to encourage local musicians to 'jam' together, showcasing local musical and culinary talents! A fun festival type event with lots of fab music, food and drink bringing the community together).
