Welcome to the official LinkedIn page of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JATC)! Established by the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 of MD, VA & DC and our signatory contractors, we are dedicated to training the safest and most industry savvy trowel trade workers. We teach them to meet the demands of the modern-day construction regiment of schedules, codes and safety requirements while fostering a healthy and safe working environment. With instructors certified by the International Masonry Institute and qualified by OSHA, Red Cross, CPWR and MSHA, we have developed various classes that give the apprentices and journey workers a working knowledge of the technologies behind the modern wall systems while emphasizing the responsibility of proper construction.
