About Javna razsvetljava
Installation of first lamps in Ljubljana has taken place in 1898, when the first 794 bulbs and 48 arcs were installed in the city. Only a few years later, in 1905, a total of 953 bulbs illuminate Ljubljana. All this consists the history of predecessors of today’s company Javna Razsvetljava, which has in its current form been founded in 1952 as the first company in Slovenia whose activity was construction and maintenance of public lighting. In that year, Ljubljana had almost 2900 lamps. Today, Javna Razsvetljava controls about 100,000 lamps in Slovenia. With the increase in transport and traffic signaling development, the company activity has expanded to devices for traffic light and non-light signaling as well. In all these decades of the company’s activity, we take pride in an array of reference objects, and are actively cooperating in equipment for demanding objects in the context of motorway and state road construction in the Republic of Slovenia.
