About Jaymo Foundation

The Jaymo Foundation aims to provide relief to families, and specifically young children, with parents that are undergoing cancer treatment. Our long-term vision is to be able to provide financial support for costs such as childcare, hospice care, and certain uncovered healthcare expenses. The aim is to be able to partner directly with the cancer centers to identify the best channels to provide direct financial aid to impacted families. To meet this goal, we are currently building relationships with cancer centers across the east coast by supplying them with thoughtfully curated care packages for children in this difficult situation. We’ve worked with a Certified Child Life Therapist out of UVA Cancer Center to identify the best items for the packages. Right now, this includes children’s books that help to start the discussion about having a parent with cancer, small comfort items like stuffed animals/stress balls, and on-the-go activities such as coloring books, art supplies, and doodle pads to occupy the children while their parent is being treated. The packages also include gift cards for delivered groceries and meals to make things a tad easier on the parents.
