JB Pacific are specialists in extreme weather engineering, natural hazards and climate-related risks. Working throughout Australia and the Indo-Pacific, they have completed flood risk mapping for every town and inhabited island, simulated the impacts of over 10,000 tropical cyclones, run over 100,000 wave models, and estimated erosion impacts for 300km of sandy shorelines. JB Pacific’s resilience work includes the design of over 100km of drainage, flood and coastal protection works, development of large-scale climate change adaptation strategies, and they currently run eight operational flood and coastal forecasting systems for government clients. We are the Pacific-arm of the JBA Group, and have worked with SPREP, SPC, the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and JICA.
