About JDO Foundation

The JDO Foundation is an educational non-profit foundation committed to facilitating long-term global collaboration opportunities for 3rd-8th grade classrooms around the world through the innovative use of technology. The JDO Global Partnership Program provides a unique opportunity that pairs classrooms for 1:1 collaboration experiences with JDO partners in 27 countries including: U.S., Iceland, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Italy, Germany, Greece, Macedonia, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Croatia, Poland, Brazil, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Mexico, Ecuador, and Pakistan.Partner classes communicate and collaborate using technology, and other live sharing software to explore learning topics together throughout the school year. These relationships transcend geographic, socioeconomic, and religious parameters and educate students to be global citizens. JDO provides technology as needed at a 1 device per 3 student ratio to each class accepted into our partnership program. We believe that technology is the most effective way to facilitate global collaboration and are committed to assisting participating classes in achieving this goal through ongoing program support, collaboration resources, and professional development for teachers. There is no charge for participation in our program but we have a teacher application process. We are looking for committed teaches that want to bring global collaboration into their classrooms.
