The Jeely Piece Club: Building Brighter Futures Since 1975 For nearly 50 years, The Jeely Piece Club has been a cornerstone of support in the heart of Glasgow’s Castlemilk community. We’re more than a childcare provider – we are a lifeline for children and families facing significant challenges such as poverty, neglect, addiction, and mental health issues. Operating from two key locations, we offer: 70 early years’ nursery places for children aged 6 weeks to school age, where demand consistently exceeds capacity. Many of these children are in vulnerable situations, including those on the child protection register. Nine play sessions weekly for children aged 5-12, with extended sessions on weekends and holidays. These sessions provide a safe space for children to enjoy joy-filled, active play, away from the chaos they may face at home. Our dedicated team of qualified professionals is deeply embedded in the local community. Many of our staff members are former "Jeely Wanes" themselves, having benefited from our services as children and now giving back by supporting a new generation. This cycle of care and support is what makes The Jeely Piece Club unique. We are committed to providing wraparound care without stigma, empowering families to thrive, and fostering a sense of belonging. Collaboration is central to our mission, as we work closely with schools, social services, and local organisations to ensure that we meet the evolving needs of Castlemilk’s families.
