About Jefferson-Puritas West Park CDC
We are committed to the full diversity of Ward 16's residential and business communities and serve as the neighborhood lead for West Park's MyCom youth development initiative. We provide the planning necessary to ensure neighborhood vitality and programming to engage the community in economic and housing development. We engage youth and adults in designing and implementing youth development initiatives for all of West Park. We operate a community computer lab off-site and provide access to quality adult education to support economic development and youth development initiatives. Annual events include a March West Park MyCom Job and Community Service Fair for teens, job preparation workshops for teens, the Run Puirtas on the 1st Saturday in May, BPDC's festival the first Sunday of June in Jefferson Park, the Ice Crime Social in the first Tuesday of August in Jefferson Park, and the Neighborhood Summit every October. https://twitter.com/BellairePuritas; www.facebook.com/bellairepuritas
