Jempson’s is an independent family owned business established in Peasmarsh, East Sussex in June 1935 by George Thomas Jempson. We currently operate supermarkets, convenience stores, Post Office counters, Pharmacy, petrol station and cafés in and around East Sussex. Jempson’s has been a proud member of Nisa since 1982 and has been the recipient of many awards and accolades including the coveted ‘Independent Retailer of the Year’. We are keen advocators of the 'Keep Sunday Special' campaign and pride ourselves with our relationships with customers and suppliers. Our mission statement: 'Since 1935 Jempson’s has sought to promote traditional, homemade foods to the public. Built on honesty and good value, our intention is to lead the retail food industry in terms of innovation, design and the very best in superb quality fresh foods.
