About Jennifer Knits

Owner Jennifer Turchen opened Jennifer Knits in the summer of 2000 to create a space where the knitters who inspired her hands and warmed her soul could gather together. The goal was to create an endlessly happy store environment where knitters of all ages could celebrate their craft, while at the same time have limited store hours so Jennifer could be home for dinner each night with her family. Jennifer Knits is seventeen years new and enjoys over 10,000 clients worldwide. We are a small posh retail store located in the heart of West Los Angeles (Brentwood), with a second location upstairs where classes are held and a large selection of extra inventory (including sale yarn) is kept. There are many reasons to love Jennifer Knits. We offer an amazing collection of yarn (especially cashmere) and a warm and cozy knitting circle, but the biggest reason to shop at Jennifer's is the amazing service. In addition to Jennifer's skilled advice, our knit shop has several talented and friendly staff who are always available for questions and instruction. Jennifer Knits stocks yarns and supplies from every major vendor in the world and a variety of small independent manufacturers too. The shelves are filled with Filatura di Crosa, Artyarns, Lux Adorna, String Yarns NY, Jade Sapphire, Prism, Anzula, Debbie Bliss, Trendsetter, Feza--and our exclusive Todd & Duncan Scottish cashmere! We stock every type of needle and accessories with an emphasis on Walker, Della Q, Dreamz, Lykke, Clover, and Lantern Moon.
