About JennySue Makeup

I started my own LLC as well as this blog by the same name, JennySueMakeup.com back in 2008. Literally right after the birth of my 2nd child because, well, why not add to the chaos right??! The blog was initially created as a way to share my knowledge of makeup so that future clients could go to it and ultimately feel comfortable booking me. Honestly, in the beginning, my blogging was pretty terrible as I look back at original posts! But I find most bloggers feel that way when they go back to their beginnings. It is just part of the process of figuring out your voice online. But now after 12 years, my business and my blog have taken shape and grown to include more opportunities than I could have ever dreamed of. From working on my first music video set (for country musics Dierks Bentley’s “Tip It On Back” video) to being asked to be the beauty expert on HLN’s Mornings With Robin Meade show during Fashion Week 2017 and all of the other various clients, weddings, and projects I’ve been asked to work on, it’s all been amazing and I’m so grateful. My purpose as a makeup artist to my clients AND to my fellow blog readers, is to help take the confusion out of makeup application, make it fun, share my findings on the latest and greatest products on the market, and how to use those products successfully and easily. You’ll find in my makeup kit, that I love ALL brands and price points of makeup. I enjoy being able to share my favorite drugstore-budget finds to the splurge-worthy department store ones! In my efforts to provide fresh content on my blog, it pushes me to stay up to date with the latest and greatest products + beauty trends all while sharing my creative and versatile perspective on makeup.
