Jessie My Love Foundation is a regenerative rural development initiative centering Black and Indigenous women and their families through land, healing, housing, and dignified work. We are building an intergenerational model of rural renewal that integrates ecological farming, food production, trauma-informed education, land stewardship, and economic equity, all grounded in cultural safety and respect for ancestral knowledge. From seed to soil, from childcare to income generation, we offer a place where women can rise, rebuild, and reclaim their futures on their own terms. Founded in 2024, Jessie My Love Foundation is redefining what rural can be. We’re not a charity, we are a living blueprint for what justice looks like when it’s rooted in land and led by those who’ve been systematically denied it. What we do: •Provide housing and land-based apprenticeships for Black and Indigenous women and families •Operate a regenerative farm with wraparound services including childcare, healing supports, and dignified work •Design and deliver programming that supports cultural reclamation, financial literacy, and self-governance •Partner with government, philanthropy, and community leaders to reimagine sustainable rural infrastructure We are currently in the early stages of land acquisition and community mobilization, focused on Ontario, with long-term plans to scale across Canada and beyond.
