JET FX is the legacy of Al Eierdam, the patriarch of the team, who was a showman focused as a touring professional drag racer for over 40 years. Al had raced everything from Super Stock, to Top Fuel in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Al’s fans were always excited and loyal when he returned annually to drag strips across the nation. Al always took the time to meet and talk to everyone that he met, whether it was in the Pits or a Fast Food restaurant while traveling. In each case, Al would make sure he would give his fans an autograph or an encouraging word. Al spent thousands of hours instructing and mentoring his sons, Curt and Craig on this and many other skills. Al coordinated with school administrator’s subjects to discuss with the school children. Al gave motivational talks, talks about nutrition, bicycle safety, and many other subjects. Children flocked to him with many questions and Al never disappointed them while signing free color posters and displaying the jet dragster. These qualities that Al instilled in Curt and Craig are the major reason why this drag race team differs from many others. Few racers have the capability to communicate with their sponsors or to communicate with the business community at large - and that includes the legions of fans. Their 100% safety record is second to none due to their attention to detail which encompasses their lives on and off track. This is a team that lets its professional persona and clean cut image speak for itself.
