About Jewelers' Security Alliance Of The United States
The Jewelers’ Security Alliance of the United States was formed on April 25, 1883 by a group of New York wholesale jewelry merchants, who had for some time prior to that date, been aghast at the number of burglaries committed on retail jeweler safes throughout the country. As a result of these forward-thinking Industry leaders in 1883, today, JSA is a leading nonprofit trade association dedicated to protecting the jewelry industry against crime. Since its establishment in 1883, with over 19,500 members, JSA has been at the forefront of safeguarding jewelers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and industry suppliers from theft, robbery, and other security threats. JSA is a trusted resource to the jewelry industry and has continually evolved to meet the changing needs and challenges of the jewelry industry. Committed to proactive prevention and education, JSA provides its members with comprehensive security resources, training programs, and industry-wide email and text alerts to empower businesses and law enforcement with the knowledge and tools needed to enhance their efforts. At the heart of JSA’s mission is the close collaboration between law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, and the jewelry industry. Through strategic partnerships and information sharing, JSA facilitates a unified approach to combating crime and minimizing risks across the jewelry supply chain. JSA’s Annual Crime Report, shared with law enforcement, provides critical information regarding trends and other patterns in the types of crimes committed again in the jewelry industry. Additionally, JSA’s Weekly Crime Alerts and Text Alerts provide our members with critical and real-time information about the latest threats.
