About JHW Plan Review Services
JHW Plan Review Services, LLC was formed in late 2018 by Jeff H. Walker. The goal of the company is to provide plan review assistance to jurisdictions, designers, and developers / owners by performing thorough, comprehensive reviews in a timely manner. Jeff H. Walker has been in the construction industry for over 23 years at many different levels. He started his career at a mechanical contracting company in 1994, then shortly thereafter moved on to a mechanical consulting firm; he also did mechanical design while briefly employed at an architectural firm. With that experience he obtained his professional engineering license in 2004 and shortly thereafter was hired at the International Code Council (ICC) in the Architectural and Engineering Services Department, performing over 600 project plan reviews, most of which were multi-discipline. Jeff is a 1992 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.). Jeff obtained the Master Code Professional certification from ICC in 2010; he currently holds 43 Certifications and Designations.
