Jig and a Swig is a social adults Irish dance class for Londoners. Based in London Waterloo, we offer opportunities for adults to learn Irish dancing in a way that's fun, inclusive and helps people to form genuine adult friendships in London. Over 1,200 have joined since 2022, with over 300 regulars joining every week across 10 classes for all-levels. Our 2024 annual survey found that of people who have joined... 98% have had an improvement in their mental health 82% feel closer to the Irish community in London 81% are more active than before they joined 60% feel more confident meeting new people We're proud to work with a range of partners, hosting events with the London Irish Centre, More London, KAINOS, Coca Cola, Trinity Hospice, Ulster Carpets, London Marathon Events, London Youth and more. In 2024, we have featured on ITV’s Lorraine Show and ITV’s national evening news. At a local level, we work with businesses and community groups in Southwark and Lambeth, including the Bankside Open Spaces Trust, Living Bankside, We are Waterloo, the Southwark Pensioners Choir and local Irish-owned venues.
