About Jim Cox Designs

At Jim Cox Designs, we specialize in product design and development for both the volume and semi-custom home builder. Since 1985, our firm has designed thousands of homes for both custom and volume builders and custom clients. Our portfolio includes custom homes ranging from 500 to 14,000 square feet, and spec homes designed for both volume and semi-custom builders throughout South Texas. While the majority of our designs have been built in San Antonio, our designs can be found in Houston, Austin, Dallas, New Braunfels, McAllen and other Texas cities and as far afield as Washington, Colorado and North Carolina. Additionally, we have designed multi-family units such as condominiums and duplexes, and light commercial projects which include a Holiday Inn Express, dental offices, an equine clinic, office buildings, strip centers, gated community entrances and recreation centers. Another area of expertise is extensive remodel and renovation plans and additions to existing homes. Our mission is to provide design based on our clients’ needs. Over the last quarter century, architectural styles have changed, come and gone, or adjusted to current trends. We keep our skills sharpened by attending homebuilding and design trade shows around the country and taking continuing education courses offered as well.
