About Jim Elliott

I’m Jim, a freelance Director of Photography, camera op, Movi op and one-stop-shop filmmaker based near Brighton, working nationally, with over a decade’s experience in the industry, shooting and lighting for some major brands such as Gucci, Hugo Boss, Disney, Red Bull Racing, BT Sport and Bowers & Wilkins. I also run a video production company - Parable Film Co, and a kit rental service, meaning I can often provide all the kit needed for productions, even when working as freelancer. I love working as part of crew, but having experience as a producer, director, DoP, camera op, and editor, it’s not uncommon for me to work a variety of roles, providing a convenient solution for personnel and kit. I own Canon and Sony cameras and have shot on a range of camera systems including ARRI, RED and BlackMagic.
