Jitegemea Credit is a microfinance institution is a project of PCEA operating under the Board for Social Responsibility (BSR). The Institution was started as a project in 1998 but due to financial nature of it’s work, it was incorporated as a Limited Company by guarantee in 2003. Jitegemea has grown from 4,000 clients in 2007 to over 16,000 clients by end of September 2012 with a growth in portfolio size of upto Ksh: 400 Million in 2012. Jitegemea Credit has 17 branches including locations from Ngong, Kitengela, Ruiru, Thika, Nairobi CBD, Kagundo Road, Jogoo Road, Meru, Maua, Kerugoya, Nyeri, Embu (Eastern Kenya), Nakuru and Eldoret (Rift Valley Region) to Mombasa and Malindi (Coastal Region).
