About JKelly Consulting
After spending 18 years helping build and lead the indirect tax technology practices at two of the Big 4 firms, I’ve experienced just about every flavor of project out there, from the multi-year global enterprise wide programs to stand alone Tax driven initiatives. During this time the tax space has evolved tremendously from a technology perspective, providing clients with more solution options and reducing the total cost of ownership. Meanwhile the approach to project management has shifted to leaner, more agile delivery methodologies geared towards rapid deployment. Yet even with these advances meant to simplify and expedite implementations, I still hear clients express frustrations similar to those from 15 years ago - Projects take too long, cost too much and are overly complex... In my experience, the common denominator to many of these frustrations can often be traced back to the machine of a big firm delivery approach. I decided step away from that culture in 2020 and founded JKelly Consulting, my solution to the machine. We’re an independent tax technology consulting firm with the experience and expertise of a big firm but a focused mission to simplify clients tax technology initiatives. Our approach is straight forward, transparent and quality driven.
