John Lawrence Fortson is a west coast photographer based in Sacramento, California. He is a professional photographer who takes great pride in capturing the true personality of the people and subjects that he photographs. His passion for photography started during his teens as he loved capturing and shooting milestone moments. After leaving the corporate world in 2015, John took his photography career to a professional level as he picked up his camera full time and learned photography in depth. As a lifestyle photographer who loves what he does and everything that comes with it, he was determined never to be known or classified for a single type of photography. This led him to shoot at weddings while simultaneously building his portfolio in landscapes, headshots, and portrait photography. He understands that for him to create beautiful images, he must create a related environment. He is a good listener who can take your story and blend it into a unique vision to convey who you are while paying close attention to the ideas of his clients. He is a travel photographer who has toured many countries to capture images that are defining and speak volumes. During his corporate career, he worked in Nigeria and Angola. As a tourist , he has traveled to Zimbabwe, Mexico, Cuba, Canada, and the Caribbean. He shoots with top-of-the-line equipment on location and in the studio to get the job done the way you envisioned it. He loves hearing stories and things about how he can assist in getting the message out about you as an individual. He believes when you see the results, you will not just see the image, you will feel it.
