JobSherpa: Born from the Desire to Redefine Outplacement Services JobSherpa was created with a vision to offer a new kind of outplacement service—one that doesn’t just provide advice but actively participates in the entire process of securing your next job. "It all started in 2020 when I [Sami] faced a career transition myself. I realized that traditional outplacement services focused more on guidance than action. What I needed was someone to take an active role—a skilled sparring partner to update my CV, enhance my LinkedIn profile, and help me network effectively. That experience inspired me to found JobSherpa, a company that combines expertise in career strategy, professional documentation, visual presentation, and networking to offer a holistic job search service." But how did we come up with the name ‘JobSherpa’? The inspiration struck one evening during storytime with my daughter, as we dove into Tintin in Tibet. Just as Tintin and Captain Haddock enlist a Sherpa to navigate the challenges of the Himalayas, I realized that job seekers also need a guide—not someone merely offering advice from the sidelines, but a partner who journeys with them every step of the way. And so, JobSherpa was born. Since then, we’ve stayed true to our founding principle: to accompany job seekers on their entire journey to landing their dream job. In today’s rapidly evolving world, driven by cutting-edge technology and AI, we continually adapt our services to keep our clients one step ahead. Today, we specialize in helping leaders, executives, and specialists advance their careers. We also share our knowledge and insights through talks and workshops on job searching, because we believe everyone deserves a job they love.
