Mission: Changing the lives of youth with learning disabilities and other challenges. Objective: To give every person who comes to John Cooper Learning Centre an opportunity to learn. John Cooper Learning Centre, a Not-for-Profit organization, offers both full and part time programs for youth from 6 years old. We are dedicated to supporting education, self-regulation and social skills through Direct Instruction teaching and ABA techniques. We tailor the curriculum and course materials to meet individual needs to best support the students learning style and promote success. We offer support for the youth to achieve their high school diploma. JCLC is for any child or youth that is struggling with learning with their peers. John Cooper Learning Centre sees the child as the person they are and the potential they have. We offer Direct Instruction, Precision teaching, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Social Thinking and Self Regulation. Diligence. and is dedicated to John Cooper 1941 to 2015 In November of 2015, after many conversations with my dad, we discussed the possibility of starting a not-for-profit learning centre. I did not realize that this would be the last topic of conversation that I would have with him. Hence the John Cooper Learning Centre was founded. My passion was encouraged by my dad when he visited. This has given me the drive to continue and pursue my dream; to set up a learning centre for the children that are falling through the cracks in today’s education system. I want to build a legacy centred around the love and support of family that I have experienced and that has encouraged me to reach my potential. To be able to share this with families and the great children that will attend the John Cooper Learning Centre is the start of this legacy.
