John West has been operating since 1857 and now forms part of Thai Union Europe. John West has offices in the UK, Netherlands and Ireland. MW Brands was formed under the ownership of Heinz, who later sold MW Brands to a Private Equity organisation. In 2010, Thai Union acquired MW Brands and then in September 2015, Thai Union undertook a rebranding exercise with the intention of realigning its corporate identity and strengthening its ever-growing presence in the Seafood Industry. As part of this rebranding, MW Brands now forms part of Thai Union Europe. Our competitive advantage of great brands like Petit Navire, John West, Mareblu and Parmentier and of full vertical integration proves long term forward thinking. We have 5000 people in Thai Union Europe (in excess of 35,000 people worldwide in Thai Union), sales of over 500 million€, 4 plants and 8 vessels globally and marketing operations across Europe. Our future depends on our ability to care for our people and the marine resources we depend on.
