About Johnson County Historical Society
The Johnson County Historical Society is a non-profit organization committed to serving the public by furthering an appreciation of the historical and cultural heritage of the Johnson County community through education, preservation, and interpretation. The JCHS maintains a Heritage Museum with 5,000 square feet of historical exhibits and manages archives with over 12,000 artifacts. The JCHS maintains and provides tours of historic sites throughout Johnson County including the Plum Grove Historic Home, 1876 Coralville Schoolhouse and Old Town Hall, and the Johnson County Historic Poor Farm. The JCHS also offers programming for all ages and backgrounds.
