Johnston Tractors Ltd is a family run company approaching our 60th year in business, having been established in 1962. Since the beginning we have been dealers for quality new and used agricultural equipment supplying and providing product support for customers in-and-around our core area of north Cumbria and east Dumfries & Galloway. The key activities of the company are sales of agricultural and construction equipment and the associated after sales parts and service backup. We are main dealers for the prestigious tractor brand Fendt and highly popular brand Valtra, both part of the AGCO stable. We are also partnered with Kuhn, another world leading manufacturer with a wide range of machines for farming and amenity applications. Suzuki ATV’s complete the three pillars of our agricultural offering; Tractors, Machinery and Vehicles - with the renowned KingQuad off-road vehicle line-up. Partnerships with other manufacturers complement our portfolio of equipment including but not limited to; Nugent Trailers, Stewart Trailers, Sumo and Dalbo machinery. Over the course of our history we have grown from head office on Rosehill Industrial Estate, Carlisle… to include additional Johnston Tractors branches situated in Dumfries and Penrith. All branches work symbiotically to share resources and enhance each other’s operational efficiency. Another string to our bow is BH Plant Sales, a division of Johnston Tractors which specialises in machinery for Plant and Construction. BH is an authorised dealer for Takeuchi excavators and Merlo construction telehandlers based at a second site just a stone’s throw from JT Carlisle Head Office. This is also where we house most of our used equipment for preparation and display.
