ITA - Jonian Dolphin Conservation E.T.S. (JDC) è un'Ente di Ricerca Scientifica con sede a Taranto. Studiamo e tuteliamo i cetacei,prevalentemente del Mar Ionio, dal 2009. Ricerca scientifica, conservazione e educazione ambientale sono i principi alla base delle nostre attività ed iniziative. Realizziamo progetti scientifici e di citizen science che coinvolgono studenti, turisti e cittadini "a bordo", attraverso attività di dolphin e whale watching sostenibili e "a terra", nel nostro Centro di Citizen Science "KETOS". Collaboriamo con diverse organizzazioni e istituzioni a livello locale, nazionale e internazionale. I nostri partner principali sono il Dipartimento di Biologia dell'Università di Bari e il Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR). ENG - Jonian Dolphin Conservation (JDC) is a scientific research association based in Taranto (South Italy). We study and preserve cetaceans in the Gulf of Taranto, in the Northern Ionian Sea, since 2009. Our actions are focused on scientific research, conservation, awareness and education. We carry out citizen science & scientific projects involving students, tourists and citizens “on board”, realizing sustainable dolphin and whale watching activities, and “on land”, in our Citizen Science Center “KETOS”. We cooperate with several organizations and institutions at local, national and international level. Our main partners are the Department of Biology of the University of Bari and the National Council of Research (CNR).
