About Jordan Airmotive ( JALCo)
Jordan Airmotive (JAlCo) is a premier engine overhaul facility and the legal successor to Royal Jordanian Airlines' maintenance division. Established in 1985, JAlCo was created to provide maintenance and overhaul services for engines powering the Royal Jordanian Airlines fleet, initially focusing on the JT8D, JT3D, and RB211-524 series engines. The facility was originally established by Rolls-Royce as part of their support initiative for the L1011 Tri-Star aircraft operated by Royal Jordanian. Rolls-Royce played a key role in the early development of the facility, providing the framework for methodologies, policies, procedures, and a quality assurance system that set the foundation for operations. Over time, Jordan Airmotive built on this foundation, refining and enhancing its capabilities to meet evolving industry standards. In 2006, as part of the Jordanian government's privatization process, Jordan Airmotive transitioned into a privately-owned entity, entering a new era as an independent Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) company. Through continuous transformation and strategic investments, Jordan Airmotive has evolved into a fully capable MRO provider, offering comprehensive services for a wide range of modern engines, including the CF6-80C2, CFM56-7B, CFM56-5B, CFM56-3, and next LEAP-1A/1B engines. This evolution highlights Jordan Airmotive’s commitment to excellence and its ability to serve regional and international aviation markets effectively.
