The Jordan Chamber of Industry was established by virtue of the Chamber of Industry Law No. 10 of 2005, and it was established as a legal person with financial and administrative independence. The Chamber is working as a national body that includes under its umbrella all the industrial chambers in Jordan, and it seeks to represent the interests of these chambers as well as promote full cooperation and coordination between them. The Chamber includes Amman Chamber of Industry that was established in 1962, Al-Zarqa Chamber of Industry that was established in 1998 and Irbid Chamber of Industry that was established in 1999. JCI is considered the legitimate representative of the industrial sector in Jordan through participation in drawing general policies, caring for the interests of industrial and crafts establishments and representing the industrial sector in various local and international forums to advance the national industry and improve its comparative and competitive advantages.
