About Journey - LGBTQ+ in Transport
Journey is the network of LGBTQ+ colleague networks in the transport industry. Our purpose is to create a community of LGBTQ+ network leaders, providing mutual support, advice and inspiration. We aim to make the UK transport system a safer space for LGBTQ+ people to both work in, and to travel on. Journey was founded in 2023 by a group of LGBTQ+ colleague networks operating in the UK transport industry; in aviation, consultancy, engineering, maritime, rail and road. It was recognised that there was an opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences, to share best practice, and to hold a mirror up to our parent organisations. We push for consistent excellence across the industry in terms of the inclusion and visibility of LGBTQ+ colleagues and the accessibility of our services to LGBTQ+ customers, as well as their physical and psychological safety once on board.
